After the last few thousand years, it’s a nice change of pace for something good to happen on “Tisha b’Av”:http://www.ou.org/yerushalayim/tishabav/tishabav.html: “Ward Churchill”:http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/D55A03F2-F986-471C-B7A5-C380A20F8362.htm has finally lost his job.
For those who don’t recall, Churchill first received attention for his essay some years back that suggested that those who died on 9/11 were “Little Eichmanns”:http://www.politicalgateway.com/news/read.html?id=2739 who merited what happened to them because of their participation in the crimes of Amerikkka.
Churchill is quite literally a schmuck: an instrument normally used as a conduit for waste, who, when stroked inflates himself far beyond his normal size and spews forth what he believes to be the very stuff of life, but which most people who come in contact with find pretty slimy and gross. In case you haven’t figured it out, we at Jewdar are not fans of ex-professor Churchill.
First of all, the Wards Churchill of the world think that _anything_ which is offensive is automatically valuable, original and thought provoking. If Churchill’s idea was to convey the message that U.S. policy engenders anger, there were innumerable more effective ways to do it. His way wasn’t clever or thought provoking or interesting. It was simply mean-spirited, thoughtless, hyperbolic and ultimately hypocritical.
Which brings me to the the second of all. If working for a financial firm in the WTC makes you a “little Eichmann,” what about working for the University of Colorada? Not only does the university host ROTC, but it is run by the state, which also runs the National Guard. It seems to me that, according to Churchill’s logic, he is, if anything, just as much as much a cog in the wheels of American imperialism as anyone who died on 9/11.
Churchill is a fraud who rather pathetically (and falsely) claims to be an “Indian”:http://www.aimovement.org/moipr/churchill05.html and to have served as a “combat veteran in an elite unit in Vietnam”:http://mensnewsdaily.com/archive/newswire/news2005/0205/021105-ward-churchill.htm. There’s no question that Churchill is a mean-spirited schmuck, hypocrite and liar; but given our own propensity for self-righteous egomania (albeit with a much sweeter disposition), we at Jewdar will be the last to say that that alone is grounds for dismissal.
But Churchill is also an “academic fraud”:http://www.colorado.edu/news/reports/churchill/download/WardChurchillReport.pdf who made false claims, lied about the evidence to support those claims and, in general, behaved in a manner unbecoming of a tenured professor. What makes his dismissal so sweet is that, while he wasn’t fired for being a schmuck, had he not been one, nobody would have noticed the academic misconduct.
Sometimes, even on Tisha b’Av, justice triumphs.
Not only that….he’s got man-boobs.
The analogy is absurd, because Eichmann was buearacrat. I personally don’t think it makes sense to compare him to people working in the private sector. That’s just my personal opinion. I don’t want to offend anyone here.
…Churchill is being damned because he has stated what Zionists, and NeoCons refuse to realize…that those who sponser state terrorism like the Israeli government, and the US government will pay in blood. Those “Pollard” loving AIPAC crony’s have done e
Hey Goldstein, just so we know…are you a far-right troll, or a far-Left troll?
Churchill is not damned by me for criticizing US foreign policy; lots of people, myself included, do that. He is damned by me for his childish and extreme comments about innocent civilians who were murdered on 9/11 (talk about character slander). And, a
..Mr Churchill did not critisize anyone who died on 9-11 as most propagandists have stated. Where is your proof that he lied about his past…do you have absolute proof, or just the usual hearsay that people like yourself seem to indulge in. Churchill did
Let’s take it point by point. You say he didn’t criticize anyone who died on 9/11. Here are his comments, taken from his essay (linked above)

Finally, you say he “did no such thing” in terms of academic misconduct. Again, I’m not dealing in hearsay; I linked to the actual report of the university. and I read parts of the report, though not all of it. And what I saw, at least regarding his st

Gee, Hesed, it’s just like old times.

Ms. Kucinich is clearly a babe. And that was noted by Biden at the debate, who was saying, “Don’t let this eco-geek’s mild mannerisms and adenoid lecturing fool you — this guy has a venomous sack!”
