Last Licks

And so we have reached the end of the administration of the man many Jews consider "the best friend Israel ever had" in the White House. To recap for those who weren’t paying attention, since then, Israel has fought two wars, one a disaster, one remains to be seen, Hamas is ensconced in Gaza, the peace process is stalled, an Israeli soldier is still being held prisoner without contact with the Red Cross (which doesn’t seem too worked up over the subject), Iran and it’s proxies have been empowered, and, oh yeah, now it’s official: Jonathan Pollard (above) still rotting in prison. So was he Israel’s best friend? Maybe, but as the saying goes, with friends like these…
