Not since 1945 has the question of whether or not someone is a Jew been so compelling for so many people. But whether or not American Idol finalst Adam Lambert is Chosen (not to be confused with the question or whether or not he’ll be chosen), he’s certainly able to play one on TV–or at least on stage–as evidenced by this appearance as a Hebrew slave in this mercifully short-lived stage production. As for the big question itself, one presumes that after Wednesday’s finale, the Jewish press will get a crack it him and finally ask the 1,000,000 shekel question, so we’ll hold off with anything definitive, but Jewdar–whose standards of authenticity on the question of "who is a Jew" are unquestionably the highest in the industry–will go out on a limb and say that Lambert in all likelihood is a MOT. And if that’s the case, if he wins not only will he be the first AI winner who is, but for those haters in the audience, the fact that he’ll be triumping over a guy named "Kris" should make the victory sweeter than kiddush wine.
The guy’s name may be Kris, but he looks about 10 times more Jewish than Lambert does. :-)
Seriously, is it just me, or did the non-Lambert top 4 all look fairly Jewish this year?

I wonder how many haters vote for Kris…just because Adam is probably Gay and Jewish.
99% of voters probably had no idea that Adam was Jewish, and I’d bet about as many didn’t care. Remember, THREE of the eight winners so far have been Black, including 2 of the first 3. Where were the racists then?
I wouldn’t have picked him as MOT…but if he’s not a flaming homer, I don’t know who is :P
His Glam make-up was probably a turn -off for some.
…. IMO though,. Adam should’ve been the winner.
