Iranian Hostage Crisis

While we don’t think its likely to act as methadone for our unhealthy addiction to “Rise of Nations”:http://www.microsoft.com/games/riseofnations/, we at Jewdar are tickled pink to hear about the new “video game”:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19792794/ developed by Iran’s Union of Students Islamic Association. The premise involves an Iranian scientist and his wife taken prisoner by the Americans and, of course, the nefarious “Israelis.”:http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://burgeridf.org/BurgerLogo3.jpg&imgrefurl=http://burgeridf.org/&h=297&w=335&sz=25&hl=en&start=18&um=1&tbnid=FO6vIz3oYAzlKM:&tbnh=106&tbnw=119&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhot%2Bisraeli%2Bsoldiers%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den

Now, we haven’t seen a screen capture yet, and don’t know if it plays well, but how funny is it that the game involves Iranians _rescuing_ hostages? I know “their ways”:http://www.wm.edu/history/rbsche/plp/reflections.html are not like “ours”:http://cakeplow.com/uploaded_images/eatoff-712480.jpg, but do they not have the concept of irony?

What do you think?
