Now, I’m not saying this version – taken from Gilbert Gottfried’s “Amazing Colossal Podcast” – is better than the Pullman original, but… Well, with sequel(s!) to INDEPENDENCE DAY slated for 2016, Roland Emmerich would be a fool not to cast Gilbert. After all, what could be more intimidating to potential alien conquerors than an un-hinged Gottfried threatening an all-out aerial assault?
