At a recent Doctors Without Borders fundraiser in New York City, former-SNL’er/Current resident of Portlandia Fred Armisen took some time to schmooze with the crowd, dazzling them with a rapid-fire monologue delivered in more New York accents than most people even realize existed.
From the Upper West Wide’s droll appreciation for “the things that are around New York” to Long Island’s premature defensiveness, Armisen brings subtly and nuance to the cacophony of horrible screeching voices you hear on the train every day. He also does an outstanding job ignoring the guy who keeps shouting “Chinatown”.
