Earlier today, Gawker’s Emily Gould, editor of the site and a _Heeb_ 100 “member”:http://heeb100.com/newmedia.html, “quit”:http://gawker.com/news/accidents-will-happen/a-long-dark-early-evening-of-the-soul-with-keith-gessen-328558.php her post (so has Gawker managing editor Choire Sicha, but he’s not Jewish, so we care less, I guess). Was it in response to Gawker’s new policy of paying its staff per page view? Did she tire of snark (can anyone??)? Who knows. But at any rate, you can bet wannabe journalistic alpha females will be lining up at the site’s virtual door with resume and headshot in hand.

Best of luck to you, Emily, wherever the Internet may take you.
