“Follow Your Dreams,” Says Eugene Mirman

Since giving Heeb advice on how to get groupies, Eugene Mirman has been touring the high school circuit dispensing with the knowledge. Recently, he ended up at alma mater Lexington High School to give the class of 2009’s commencement speech–a heady task given the apocalyptic state of our current economy.

Mirman told the grads "to follow your dreams, unless your dreams are stupid," encouraging the slackers among the lot by admitting that he once got a negative eight on a homework assignment. The The Will to Whatevs author then added, "Sometimes you can fail, then barely pass, then become a comedian."

Well, perhaps you can, Mr. Mirman–but most of those puttering along in the slow class of ’09 are most likely heading toward a fabulous career in the service industry, or editing Heeb Magazine.

What do you think?
