The last time writer/director/producer Noah Baumbach showed us New York City it was through the eyes of the millennial fuck-up heroine of his Francis Ha. In his next film, the upcoming While We’re Young, Baumbach returns to the hipster waters of NYC, showing us how as they look from the far side of 30. Starring Ben Stiller, Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Adam Driver, and a shockingly old looking Charles Grodin, While We’re Young seems to be something of a Francis Ha in reverse – not the story of a young woman trying to figure out how to grow up, but that of a pair of grown-ups, played by Stiller and Watts, dipping their toes in youthful Brooklyn hipsterdom. Along the way Stiller trips balls, get hit by one, and has his choice of head-wear insulted by none other than the poster-boy for “been there, done that” New York cool: Adam “Ad Rock” Horovitz.

While We’re Young is scheduled for wide release in March, 2015.
