Thing We’re Looking Forward To: Bob Saget’s New Showtime Special

It’s been a while since we’ve  had a chance to see the raunchy, hilarious Bob Saget do his thing on stage in front of a live television audience. Fortunately, our Saget-less dry spell is soon coming to a close. LaughSpin.com is reporting that Bob has a new comedy special coming to the Showtime network on May 10th – six years after his first special, the disgustingly brilliant “That Ain’t Right”, aired on HBO. Saget’s return to premium channel comedy is welcome news, as is the fact that he’ll be hitting the road on tour starting April 11th.

For some members of a certain generation, Bob Saget is indelibly etched in their minds as Danny Tanner, the wholesome, “aw-shucks” widower dad from TV’s Full House. We can only hope those poor saps tune in on May 10th, so they can see the real Saget in all his filthy glory. Here’s just a small taste of Bob, from his 2007 Heeb photo shoot:

Bob’s new special – That’s What I’m Talking About” – airs at 10pm EST, May 10th, on Showtime.

“For some members of a certain generation, Bob Saget is indelibly etched in their minds as Danny Tanner…” – Either that or as the cheesy host of America’s Funniest Home Videos.
