On June 2nd Rami Hamdallah, a Palestinian academic, was named Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority. Thursday morning, he quit. And, while Mr. Hamdallah may not have been in office long enough to leave a legacy of political leadership, he does leave what’s got to be one of the most awkward twitter timelines we’ve ever seen.
In fairness, without a “verified” checkmark, it’s impossible to say with absolute certainty that this really is Rami Hamdallah. Still, after only two weeks in office, it’s possible he wasn’t even around long enough to be given Twitter legitimacy.
Oof.
I guess he felt he had accomplished what he set out to accomplish.
