There is a tendency among some in the gay activist world to dump on Israel. If they wish to ignore Israel’s position on rights for gays in the interests of supporting Palestinian rights, that’s their business, but we think we may have an argument that strikes a little closer to home. According to a recent report in the Iranian press, it is Israel which is spreading homosexuality throughout the world as part of its sinister endeavors to…well, we’re not really sure what this is supposed to do for Israel. But now that the truth that Israel is behind gayness is out, Jewdar is prepared to drop the bomb on the Zionist entity’s gay critics–If you continue to bash Israel, we’re cancelling Glee.
Hi, could this post make less sense? Thanks.
You know, it’s not necessarily an either/or thing. People can object to the state of Israel’s behavior towards Palestinians without joining forces with homophobic groups.
Ann, who said that anybody was joining with homophobic groups? Certainly not me.
Conotecarious, the answer is yes, there are any number of ways this could make less sense. I’m actually rather shocked that you’d ask such a question when the answer is so obvious.
what’s either/or about it is that israel is a free country with democratic ideals and human rights, and the punishment for being gay in a lot of muslim countries is death. from this we can extrapolate that maybe when people bash israel they are LYING about the facts.
