The Jewkbox Presents: Discovery

What do you get when two of the biggest indie pop bands in the known universe join forces for some side project action? When its Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Wes Miles of Ra Ra Riot and that side project is called Discovery, you get an album that would make Kanye West wet his pants with jealousy.

Discovery’s debut, LP (XL Recordings), which comes out July 7th, is a mash of pop music from 1990 to now, including every guilty pleasure you can imagine. Plus, Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig and Angel Deradoorian of the Dirty Projectors make appearances.

I feel pretty comfortable saying that this is the party album of the summer.
