On Monday morning, our friends over at Tablet published an in-depth look at Rabbi Darby Leigh – who happens to be profoundly deaf – and his upcoming role as leader of a hearing synagogue in Concord, Massachusetts. It’s a great read, and worth taking the time to check out.
That said…while the article does offhandedly mention that Darby is a “big-time heavy-metal fan,” I’m amazed the author either missed, or omitted, this outstanding Rabbi Leigh-ism: Taking the stage with Twisted fucking Sister to sign along with their power-ballad “The Price”.
