The Coen brothers have released the trailer to their latest dark comedy, A Serious Man, out in October. It opens with the main character’s (Michael Stuhlbarg) head being bashed against the wall and the rythmic sound of his skull hitting the plaster over and over continues throughout the two minute clip inducing more anxiety than paying retail.
The film, loosely based on the Brother’s own childhood growing up in an academic family in the largely Jewish suburb of St Louis Park, Minnesota, explores "questions of faith, familial responsibility, delinquent behavior, dental phenomena, academia, mortality, and Judaism – and intersections thereof ".
