I don’t disagree with the Coalition’s general goals and I think most American Jews, once presented with the facts, conclude that contributing to Palestinian suffering is bad for Israel and that the occupation is bad for Zionism.
But, I fear that talk of righteous fuming, radical panels and shouting in unison might end up not affecting U.S. policy one iota. If the Palestinian cause wants a model, it should stop reading Trotsky and start studying “AIPAC.”:http://www.aipac.org/ Love em or hate em, AIPAC organizes a tremendous number of connected members-volunteers, machers, point-people-and a good bit of money to promote its agenda. Throwing your hand-painted signs and sad statistics against that machine does not make you David, it makes you deluded.
