The notoriously campy and loud-mouthed, boxing promoter Don King, apparently is punch-drunk in his love for Israel, where he is a guest speaker at the Peres Center for Peace’s Tenth Anniversary, which works to bridge unity between Israeli and Palestinian youth.
Wearing a sexy jean jacket, he told the Jerusalem Post that African-Americans should take a page out of, er, the Passover hagadah. Yes that’s right. Instead of using slavery as an excuse for suffering, he suggested embracing the memory of slavery just as the Jews did with Egypt. He did not mention if African-Americans should also eat bitter herbs, pour wine for an invisible man and worry about the traffic on the ride home.
