No Love for Natalie

Last week we told you that Hasidic friend-of-Heeb Abe Karpen was spotted on the Brooklyn Bridge with Natalie Portman. He was filming a movie in which he played Portman’s husband, but that’s the last sighting of the pair we can expect for a long while. Even though Karpen had refused to hold Portman’s hand for the camera (touching women in public is forbidden, of course), his Williamsburg, Brooklyn community was terribly upset at his new gig and strongly urged him to quit the film. And by "strongly urged" I mean his rabbi told him that his kids would be kicked out of school if Karpen continued with the project. Aww guys, come on. Can’t you make an exception for a movie with the hottest Israeli-born Hebrew-speaking Jewish starlet in Hollywood?

What do you think?

Nothing should move the chassidim–especially the Zionist-entity friendly Satmar– to change their tune than an Israeli Hebrew speaking starlet of Hollywood.

I can’t believe they are still saying no!

Props to the Rabbi, let’s stay as insular as possible, that’s the ticket!
Threatening someone’s kids to get them to comply, nice ;)
