A few of years ago, we challenged “_Hyphen_,”:http://www.hyphenmagazine.com/ the magazine of Asian American arts, culture and commentary to a table tennis competition to determine once and for all who owned the sport of ping-pong. The night at the SomArts Cultural Center in San Francisco featured bagels and egg rolls, DJs and beer as well as contrasting grips on the paddle. Let’s not get into the results of who came out victorious that fateful night, but let’s just say that life imitated stereotype.
