If there’s anyone who qualifies as an – if not the – elder statesman of comedy, it’s Mel Brooks. So who better than Brooks to offer their memories of Joan Rivers, with whom Mel was both friend and colleague. Here, in this clip from last night’s Conan, Brooks shares his fondness for Joan as only he can: By starting sweet and sincere, and ending up with a Hitler mustache, berating all the Germans in the audience.
