Mik Moore, co-founder of the Great Schlep, the 2008 initiative that encouraged young Jews to visit their grandparents in Florida and encourage them to vote for Obama, is at it again. This time, his target is Glenn Beck who’s recently gone bonkers claiming that religious groups who preach "social justice" and "economic justice" betray deep-seated affinities for Nazism and Communism.
Moore’s response to Beck’s attack on faith-based activism? The Glenn Beck Haiku Project, which invites you to turn your outrage into poetry by submitting a Beck-inspired haiku on the project’s website or by tweeting it with the hashtag #becku.
I spent some time on the site looking at some random submissions before throwing my yarmulke into the ring:
Selling a ‘doozie’
Just like a used-car salesman
Really it’s doody.
