I know this will be a disappontment to many, but this post is not about Tracey Gold. Rather, it’s about the curious lunacy which has led many Orthodox Jews to believe that President Elect Obama is the worst thing to hit the Jews since a certain small-mustached Austrian art buff. Funny thing is that Jewdar recalls when Hillary was first running for the senate, and everyone was sure she was a rabid antisemite–"She kissed Suha Arafat!" Like all senators from New York, she is staunchly pro-Israel, and this year was favored by many of those who once denounced her on the subject. Of course, these same people would never say they were wrong, only that she grew and matured. So when Obama turns out to be neither an antisemite nor an antizionist, and his Jewish critics begin to say that he has matured and lost his naivete, remember, you read it here first.
