Now that my father can successfully use “spam” in a sentence, the word “bacn”:http://bacn2.com/ has been “picked up”:http://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/22/bacn_spreads_around_.html by internet-savvy early adapters as a term to describe emails you sort of want, but not right _now_, ie. newsletters, MySpace updates, Google alerts.
It’s clever, but why’d they have to get rid of the o in the word? And doesn’t everyone love “bacon”:http://heebmagazine.com/issues/view/11 and “want it immediately”:http://heebmagazine.com/store/subscribe? Just saying.
bacn “a term to describe emails you sort of want, but not right now,” “it’s clever,” ……………………….it’s also a sniglet. Remember sniglets?
