Sometimes life plays out like a sitcom, sometimes like a dark comedy. When a Palestinian youth orchestra played music for a group of Holocaust survivors, it seemed like the kind of rare burst of humanity that may possibly have suggested the slight chance that one day it would be conceivable to imagine conjecturing that it might not be certain that Palestinians and Israelis would always spend their time killing each other. But then reality set in, in the form of the local Palestinian poohbah deciding to shut the orchestra down because of the illicit "political activity" of playing music for Holocaust survivors. And once again, for those not paying attention, the score in the Middle East is:
