Another Neuman-Run Mag to Publish Quarterly

For years, _Heeb_ publisher Josh Neuman has nursed a certain amount of resentment towards Alfred E. Neuman,

A. Because _Mad_ Magazine publishes as a monthly

B. Because Josh wants to be the most famous Neuman in publishing

C. Because Josh doesn’t realize that Alfred E. Neuman isn’t real.

Perhaps the feud may be coming to an end, however, since Mad Magazine recently announced that it would begin publishing on a quarterly schedule. Unlike Josh, we at Jewdar feel nothing but sorrow at Mad’s misfortune. Not only did Jewdar himself spend a considerable amount of our youth reading Mad, but one of our proudest moments as a parent came this last year when Jewdar Jr. asked for a subscription to Mad for his birthday. Still, we will not let our sentiment stand in the way of our professional obligations: Alfred E’s may have been the most humorous monthly on the market, but we’re pretty sure that the publisher of America’s most funny quarterly still belongs to Josh.
