End of the Tori

Back in some issue or another, Jewdar expressed our reservations about the new 90210 (among other things West Beverly’s huge Iranian Jewish population seems to be represented by a character who’s an Iranian Scientologist). In what we consider a bad omen, the entertainment world was rocked today by news that Tori Spelling will not be reviving the role of Donna Martin. While Tori definitely doesn’t have her father’s unerring sense of Hitmacherkeit, you’ve got to figure that she’s got at least some sense of what will be hot, and what will be not. We won’t judge the show until we’ve watched it (and you know we will watch it) but to Jewdar, her exit sounds a little like a siliconed rat leaving a sinking ship.

What do you think?
