The Sharon Jones Holiday record is the gift that keeps on giving. Had she simply included a Hanukkah song on her holiday record at all, dayeinu. She not only gave us side 1, she not only gave us a 7-inch record, but we get a music video, too! Beautifully directed and illustrated by Rich Terrana, this lyric video feels like the best kind of vintage Sesame Street animated vignette.
We took a close look “It’s a Holiday Soul Party” a few weeks back. If you’re not bumping this tune at candle lighting, you’re missing out.
