Stunt documentarian and Heeb 100 alum John Safran crucified himself as part of a Good Friday repentance rituals in the rural Philippines. He told the villagers that he was partaking in the ritual in the hopes of saving his cancer-stricken mother, though Safran’s mother actually died in 2003.
I’m eager to see how Safran uses the footage in his an upcoming ABC program entitled John Safran’s Race Relations. If his past work in John Safron vs. God is any indication, it should be hilarious and dare I say thought provoking. However, what’s even more exciting is the possibility that this will finally make Morgan Spurlock realize what a pussy he is and crawl back to the organic, locally-grown food co-op from whence he came. If I could afford to eat McDonalds three meals a day I would be grateful.
