What the Chuck?

Being mostly writers ourselves, we were behind the writers in their strike. They seemed like the underdogs. Poor little slaves typing their fingers to the bone while the big shot studio execs patted each other on the back and made millions off digital downloads. When the strike forced the cancellation of the Golden Globes we were a little bummed that we wouldn’t get Joan and Melissa on the red carpet or the fashion run-down in US Weekly, but we were sort of proud of our writerly brethren for using their big brains to stick it to the man.

Now the strike is over, hooray! But with it, some of our favorite shows. Boo. Dirty Sexy Money we could do without ever seeing again, but Pushing Daisies and Chuck? We loved those guys and now they’re not returning until the fall. And we all know what that means in TV speak: They may never be back. Plus, now there’s talk of a potential actors strike, spurred on by the success of the writers strike, which could completely shut down film and TV. If that happens, we fans may just plan a strike of our own, writers. Rerun that!
