Thou Shalt Not Take the Lord’s Name in Wain

It’s been over 50 years since Cecil B. DeMille directed “_The Ten Commandments_,”:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049833/ so it’s about time that somebody send us a celluloid reminder of all of the laws we’ve been breaking.

Hitting theaters a month from today, “_The Ten_,”:http://www.thetenmovie.com/ composed of a series of short films co-written and directed by “David Wain”:http://www.davidwain.com/ (who reviews movies in our “2007 summer edition”:http://heebmagazine.com/mag) stands toe-to-toe with the DeMille’s masterpiece when it comes to star power with “Paul Rudd,”:http://heebmagazine.com/blog/view/99 Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Winona Ryder, Gretchen Mol, Liev Schreiber, Justin Theroux and Rob Corddry in leading roles. We’ve seen the film and you should too if you like early Woody Allen (Side Effects, _Getting Even_, _Without Feathers_), Mel Brooks (History of the World: Part I) and the oddball Dadaism Wain has displayed on _The State_, _Wet Hot American Summer_ and _Stella_.

What do you think?
