The Criterion Collection Presents _Homicide_: Murder, Jews and Shootouts

"I woulda been there. I’m stuck here with my… my Jews," says Bobby Gold. With an excuse like that, you’d think Gold was Heeb’s newest intern. Instead, Bobby Gold is the inner-city police detective, played by Joe Mantegna in David Mamet’s 1991 film, Homicide. Mantegna’s investigation into the death of an elderly Jewish candy shop owner leads him to discover his own Jewish heritage–as well as into one hell of a shootout. (Again, sounds like Heeb‘s newest intern.) If you haven’t seen one of the greatest detective movies ever (or have had the opportunity to work with us for a summer), then check out the newly released Homicide (The Criterion Collection) with director’s commentary and gag reel.
