Pope of the Road

The Vatican has set forth the “Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of the Road,” a “list”:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6768395.stm of dos and don’ts for the everyday motorist. The BBC News reports that,

The document also warns that driving can bring out “primitive” behaviour in motorists, including “cursing, blasphemy, loss of sense of responsibility”.

It says that automobiles can be “an occasion of sin” – particularly when they are used for dangerous overtaking or for prostitution.

Sure, this may seem as anachronistic as the Rebbe outlining “email etiquette”:http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Books/story?id=3035262&page=1, but do recall that just one month ago, “the Popemobile itself was attacked”:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6726441.stm by a man under the evil influence of the road.
