It’s standard procedure for any of us to point/laugh at anything raucous, nasty or just plain ol’ fucked-up, but the man behind Maneggs.com, an online comic strip site that imagines the sinister (yet realistic) back stories of saccharine cartoon characters, isn’t just your run of the mill sadist asshole with doodling skills.
Strangely, illustrator Tom Bland adds depth to icons like Oscar the Grouch, a character whose shit-ass attitude has never been explained.
Thanks to Maneggs, we now have a clue, and Bland says we may find out more soon. "I should probably do some further adventures of the grouch," Bland wrote me this morning, including "the years after losing his family and before Sesame Street."
We’ll keep an eye out.

It’s almost as bad when you ask tag heuer watches voters how the law will affect them personally. There is lots of doubt and some considerable belief or hope that the new law won’t affect them
