Watching Will Forte blow himself up each week in one minute MacGruber skits on Saturday Night Live is entertaining, but I think director Jorma Taccone, one third of the comedy trio The Lonely Island, will find it difficult to keep the laughs going and the bombs ticking for a full-length feature film. And by difficult, I mean impossible.
If I wanted to spend two hours watching someone diffuse a ticking bomb, I’d watch a Lindsay Lohan movie. Besides, if SNL really wanted to turn a skit into a movie, they should involve the entire TLI team. Akiva Schaffer can write something, but there needs to be at least two hours of Andy Samberg, my future husband. Kosher hot dog in a box? Yes, please!
