Jackie Martling Explains Why He’s Performing at _Heeb_ Storytelling

Comic/former head writer of The Howard Stern Show Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling will tell a seven-minute "Jewish" story at the Heeb Storytelling event at Joe’s Pub in New York City. So why would a successful goy comic agree to this for absolutely no money?

"My best story is about my dearly departed pal Jacob Cohen, and this seemed like a great place and time to tell it," Jackie let me know over email. (Note: Rodney Dangerfield, who was a longtime friend of Martling’s, was actually born "Jacob Cohen." Martling could mean another friend by the same name, but then would it really be The Joke Man’s "best story"?)

"Plus," he added, "the girl who asked me to do it has big tits."

Click here for tickets to the Heeb Storytelling event on December 23. The Joke Man is joined by Jordan Carlos (The Colbert Report), comedian Jessi Klein, Playwright Lisa Kron (Well), Onion writer Aaron Kheifets, standup comedian DC Benny and writer Peter Hyman (The Reluctant Metrosexual).

Martin is a great man. I used to love the Howard Stern Show a lot when he used to be a part of the show. After he left, the show just turned into trash.
