Far Right Political Leader Disguises Himself as Orthodox Rabbi

Hiding from the British authorities by dressing as a rabbi has a strong historical precedent. Both Menachem Begin and Yizchak Shamir hid as rabbis in Palestine during British occupation. But they were both more successful in attracting the Orthodox vote than the EDL leader, Stephen Lennon.

Stephen Lennon, who calls himself Tommy Robinson, was arrested for breaching bail conditions soon after disguising himself as an Orthodox rabbi. Robinson revealed himself to a crowd after being introduced as “Rabbi Benjamin Kidderman,” exclaiming, “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting to take this shit off?”

How many former ultra-Orthodox Jews have said the same thing?

What do you think?

Isn’t the old-fachioned right-wing (e.g. “Goldwater conservatives”) the hip new thing for contemporary Jewish intellectuals? In any case, a facist is still traif. Feh!
