First Nazis, now 3-D piranhas–Eli Roth is moving up in the world.
The noted horror movie scribe (Hostel) who recently acted in Tarantino blockbuster Inglourious Basterds will be making what’s sure to be his star-turning appearance in Alexander Aja’s 2010 remake of Joe Dante’s 1978 spring break gorefest, Piranha. According to IMDB, Roth’s role will be "wet t-shirt contest emcee."
When asked about the part, Roth told fearnet.com, "I’d be a fucking idiot if I turned that down."
Well, yeah. It’s in 3-D. Imagine how sweet Basterds would have been if Hitler’s head had come rolling down the aisle. Something to think about, Quentin.
