Did Bernie Madoff Steal More Money from Jews than Hitler?

Bernie Madoff has been charged with stealing approximately 50 billion in total dollars, a large portion of which came from Jewish organizations. According to The Wall Street Journal, 157.4 million dollars belonged to the Yeshiva University, The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity, Hadassah, the Ramaz School, Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun, The Maimonides School, Yad Sarah, the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, and unknown amounts belonged to the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Charitable Remainder Trust, the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation and the Chais Family Foundation. Add the money stolen from countless wealthy Jewish individuals, such as Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg, and the total amount taken from Jews might end up in the billions

But to provide some context, the book Nazi Looting: the Plunder of Dutch Jewry during the Second World War estimates that the Nazis stole 1.2 billion guilders worth of assets from Dutch Jews alone. In today’s terms, that amount equals approximately 7 billion U.S. dollars.

Sorry to be a self-hater-hater, but when it comes to steeling Jewish gelt, Bernie Madoff is clearly no Adolph Hitler.
