Clash of the Titans

In a moment of blind rage, eBay has “pulled its ads from Google”:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6755789.stm. Apparently, the online auction site spends around $25 million a year advertising on Google, so this was quite the power play. According to BBC News

The move comes after Google angered eBay with a provocative decision to hold an event on the same evening as eBay’s annual merchants’ conference. Google’s party was aimed at attracting attention away from eBay’s payment system PayPal to its own card processing service, analysts say.

Wow, this totally reminds me of when Amy B. threw her ice skating birthday party on the same Saturday as my roller skating one. She was aiming to attract attention away from my new dress to her own developing breasts. Bitch.

What do you think?

I am rather disappointed that “amenities like a doorman, gym, spa, roofdeck, a top-notch restaurant and spectacular panoramic views.” are considered to set a new “standard for high-class urban living” in Tel Aviv or New York. I mean, what’s new in that?
