A Cut Above The Rest

The “dropping circumcision rate”:http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/06/18/circumcision.decline.ap/index.html in the U.S. has made the news and has once again sparked debate over the age old question: Which do you prefer, mushroom or spring roll?

The debate isn’t new but the more note-worthy part of the article is that they talk to a Jewish mother who has a bris for her son in ceremony only, no cutting involved. Kind of like skipping the Torah reading and going straight for the Bat Mitzvah party.

    i have a dilemma. Literally, given the choice of a spring roll or a mushroom, I’m taking spring roll every time. There’s no comparison in taste.

    But metaphorically, I gots ta root for the home team.
