Jerry Lewis is taking The Nutty Professor back from Eddie Murphy’s clutches. Following in the footsteps of fellow altercocker Mel Brooks, the 83-year-old Lewis is turning his movie into a Broadway musical. Lewis will direct the production, but there is no word yet on who will take on the Professor Julius Kelp/Buddy Love role. As a fan of Lewis, I’m hoping the production will be more Producers than Young Frankenstein.
