Isn’t it nice when former members of the United States congress can kick up their heels, vacation in the holy land, and feel refreshed and rejuvenated enough to call for a mass conversion of the Jews?
That’s exactly what ex-Congresswoman and spectacularly failed presidential candidate Michele Bachmann (R-MN) did, following a recent junket in Israel put on by the Family Research Council, an ultra-conservative Christian organization labeled by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group. Speaking with Tony Perkins, the Council’s President (himself long dogged by charges of an alleged flirtation with white nationalist groups) on his Washington Watch radio program, Bachmann offered this pearl of wisdom:
“We recognize the shortness of the hour and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”

The last time Michelle dipped her toes into semitic waters was in 2012 when, still a congresswoman, Bachmann surprised worshipers at Chicago’s Anshe Emet synagogue by showing up smack in the middle of Yom Kippur services.
Who knows if her high holiday drop-in helped inspire Bachmann’s current conversion crusade. What seems certain, regardless, is that she appears to have mastered the subtle Jewish art of, er, what’s that word again? Choots-pah?
That’s the one.
Obviously, White Christians want Jews converted to Christianity as the price of continuing financial support for Israel.
Well, it’s not a bad idea, so far as ideas go, but we need to first convert Christians to Christianity first.
Let’s see how that works out.
Then, the true nation of Israel can determine what to deo.
