Hoo boy, Louis C.K., everyone’s favorite maudlin every-man, is in a bit of trouble after his opening monologue on last night’s SNL season finale. There, C.K. spent his opening minutes riffing on racism, the 70’s, and yes – the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians – before launching into a five minute set about (*sigh*) child molestation.
There’s something to be said for a comic who can make jokes the most sensitive, volatile, 3rd-rail-ish, ethno-religious conflict on Earth the least uncomfortable part of the night.

Take it with a “grain of salt”. He’s a comic on a comedy show AND he’s Jewish. A Jewish comic? Never heard of such a thing! :)
He is not Jewish, although he has a Jewish paternal grandfather and his father converted to Judaism for his new wife.
