The nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced this morning, which means that actor Michael Stuhlbarg got the phone call this morning– he wasn’t nominated for his performance in A Serious Man.
I don’t really know if it would have made the difference or not, but perhaps, next time, his PR flacks shouldn’t have played it so safe for his Oscar campaign and, instead, agreed to letting the nebbishe thespian partake in a photo shoot with us. (They turned us down twice last month, and the ideas weren’t that wackadoo.)

What?? ? The Blind Side…nominated for Best Picture??
I think the biggest slight is THE MAID, which should have at least been nominated for Best Foreign Film.
Everyone realises Avatar was a shithouse cheesy popcorn film, right?
So now it’s not so much “Best” picture as “Highest Grossing”.
Sandra Bullock up for an Oscar…oh my.
Wow, Stuhlbarg even gets gypped in the comments.
Sandra has a nice ass.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I’d give her a dicking…but not an Oscar.
Nominations or not, we have to remember the gift that G-d gave the Coens the gift to bestow such a special movie to such a special people.
…right…’cos G-d really gives a fuck about movie production.
He wont intervene to save Haiti from an earthquake but come Oscar season, he’s all over the place.
What nonsense.
