What is it about transgressive Jewish comedians and spoofing European art cinema? First Woody Allen’s “Why Do Some Women Have Trouble Reaching an Orgasm?”, from 1972’s Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex* (*But Were Too Afraid To Ask) had our nebbishy hero stumbling through sub-par Italian in a Fellini-esque ode to shtupping in public. And now, our favorite hole-y cover girl, Sarah Silverman, finds herself on the other side of the Atlantic as well. In her just-released Féte des Pets (“Fart Party”) Silverman, and a couple of well-dressed grade-schoolers, engage in a classic love-triangle, complete with moody voice-overs, atmospheric lighting, and even a nod to Jean Seberg’s iconic outfit from the quintessential French art flick, Breathless.
Here then, for your fancy-schmancy viewing pleasure, is Féte des Pets (“Fart Party”)
