Sikh of it All

The New York City Mayor’s Office proclaimed this week “Sikh Heriage Week” to recognize the rich diversity, history and culture of the Sikh people. These are tough times for the Sikhs, who find themselves increasingly discriminated against in the United States and abroad– particularly at airports where security frequently demands that they remove their turbans. If you missed this past weekend’s “Sikh Heritage Awards Gala”:www.sikharts.com and the “Spinning Wheel Film Festival”:http://www.sikharts.com/film.html, you might want to participate in the week’s festivities by spending some time on the site we would have made if we were Sikhs: “_Ratemyturban.com_.”:http://ratemyturban.com/

. IMHO , if you have ” a soft spot for sikhs” that is not racist.
