There’s Pretty Good Chinese Food Down The Block From Auschwitz

In what could be some sort of culinary peace-offering to Jewish Holocaust survivors and their descendants visiting Auschwitz (or just a savvy yet unsettling choice of location), there’s a Chinese restaurant down the street from the former death camp. And, our sources say, the food at Art Deco Auschwitz is pretty damn good. What does a Chinese restaurant by way of Poland have on their menu? Well, frankly, the usual suspects of kung pao pork and sesame chicken. And if you’re not in the mood for mu shu and fried rice the “restaurant complex” also offers Italian and Polish grub as well. ‘Cause there’s nothing like a death camp to whet your appetite.
