Barbra Streisand, knows a political winner when she sees one–just check out her ’78 serenade to Golda Meir. So we are delighted to hear that she is going to do her all for first black president of the United States. No, not that doughy reprobate in the picture, the real first black president (we hope). Yes, Barbra has agreed to lend her talents to the Obama campaign in a gala fundraiser. We had no doubts about Obama before, but Barbra’s hechsher certainly renders him kosher. As far as we’re concerned, there’s only one thing that could possibly make John McCain a viable candidate at this point–and Neil Diamond is a Democrat.
