San Francisco chefs Gayle Pirie and John Cook are stepping up to the Heeb challenge and putting a Slow Food spin on the Passover seder. On Sunday, April 20 (the second night of Passover), Heeb invites readers to Foreign Cinema in San Francisco for our inaugural "Slow Food Seder". Pirie and Cook are slow-food legends, with long-time stints at Chez Panisse and Zuni Cafe. Tickets include dinner, wine, a one-year Heeb subscription and the chance to be part of a totally innovative Passover cultural experiment. Proceeds will benefit the Chez Panisse Foundation, which has started school gardens at a handful of inner-city schools and works to introduce food and nutrition information to public schools throughout the country. You can buy tickets right here before the dinner table fills up.
