Ah, Airborne. Your mother has told you about it, your friends have explained to you that it was created by a teacher who was tired of her snot-nosed students getting her sick (since when did elementary school teachers double as doctors?), and your office may even stock vials of it to keep you healthy and productive. Well, they’re all idiots. ABC News first smelled a rat in 2006 when it discovered that the so-called clinical trials that support Airborne’s cold-curing claims were conducted by a two-man operation set up just to do the Airborne study. "There was no clinic, no scientists and no doctors. The man who ran things said he had lots of clinical trial experience. He added that he had a degree from Indiana University, but the school says he never graduated," the network reported.

The ABC report sparked a class-action lawsuit and now Airborne, without admitting any guilt, has agreed to pay $23 million in refunds to customers. You can claim your refund online and can even get a refund check without a receipt for up to 6 boxes. The company is paying out $10.50 per box of Seasonal Airborne, $2.75 per box of Gummi Airborne, and $6.99 for all other Airborne products and has changed its marketing claims to focus on Airborne as an immune booster rather than a "cure" for the common cold.

ha, probably at least ten bucks, but that’s not stopping me from trying to get a “refund” for six undocumented Airborne purchases.
